Hm. There is definitely some sort of history (be it brief or extended) between Vic and Brian -- anyone recall Brian touching him affectionately on the shoulder the evening Justin dropped by for some action up in Mikey's old room?

To anyone who HAS seen the UK version: Is the relationship between Brian and Justin pretty much the same? If so, I wonder if the "spoiler" news would be that there is already a 'plan' for success or failure, and I'm just not aware of it. Makes me wonder if I even WANT to know.

To all the other neophytes (myself included!) where do we anticipate their relationship going? Will it become exclusive? Will Brian find himself playing Father Figure to not only baby Gus, but Justin too?

I loved Hal Sparks on E! Entertainment Telvision, and was somewhat shocked to see him in the cast -- guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the advertising campaign for the show. I find him somewhat wooden in the role, however. He seems uncomfortable in it, like an ill-fitting sweater. Michael makes a nice counterpoint to Brian, though, and seems both genuinely concerned about and disheartened by the emotional wreckage Brian leaves in his wake. Can't get a good read on this guy yet, though he seems to me a conglomeration of bits and pieces of the other characters. Would you consider him to be the most realistic, while the others are somewhat hyper-exaggerated stereotypes? How do you see his character developing? A bit disappointed with this character -- only because he felt like the "token stereotypical flamboyant boisterous gay that has to be part of any show dealing with this subject" -- which I guess makes him both necessary and disappointing at the same time instead of just the former or the latter. Think he'll be fleshed out any more as a character? Do you find him offensive? Wish the writers for once, didn't have to have a character like him? Discussion is now open.
